SCHOOL PREVIEW SUPPORT
After an employee has accepted an assignment to Portland, Destination Services: Oregon provides the following assistance during Preview/Househunting Trip to families with children age 3 years and older.

School Preview Support Program Provides:
Program authorization sent from client company after family has requested school visits and Preview/Househunting trip has been authorized.
Pre-trip correspondence via email and/or phone.
Research appropriate preschools, public K-12 schools, private schools, and university as needed.
Design tour itinerary and coordinate school appointments and visitations.
Meet international employee and family to discuss US education system; Oregon state curriculum and local district policies; enrollment and registration procedures.
Provide accompanied, custom tour of public and/or private schools in desired areas; meet with administrators or support staff when possible.
Provide tour of city as desired.
Provide local area maps; schedule for required immunizations; one copy of book for international employees that addresses questions about the U.S. educational system.
